I used to work at PBS and there was a story everyone knew. Not sure if it's true, but it was reported that one day his car was stolen. Papers in there indicated who the owner was. Apparently the thief noticed them and became conscience-stricken because the next day the car was returned to Mr. Rogers' house with a note of apology. By the way, in the 10 years I worked at PBS, I never heard a whiff of anything remotely disparaging of this consummately decent man. What you saw was what you got. RIP

This film brought tears to my eyes. Mr. Fred Rogers was the dearest mostly Godly man. I think this is my very favorite youtube film ever. His neighborhood show was such a blessings for all ages. Thank you Mr. Rogers for all you have done and the legacy of goodness you left behind for generations to learn from.

Fred Rogers was an amazing speaker. Whether in the childrens realm or even in the national forum. Just look at how he completely breaks Pastore's angy demeanor and stand-offish stance in a matter of minutes with powerful and well though out speech. RIP Mr. Rogers you were always my third grandfather.

i loved mr. rogers as a child. i met him when i grew into an adult. he talked to me so kindly and still made me feel as special as an adult as he did when i was a child. he was truly a caring person not just with the people he knew but he cared for the whole world. i think we should all try more to be like fred.

Many years ago, my husband would rest on the sofa after work and just soak in the goodness and kindness of the Neighborhood. It helped him keep his sanity. I am so thankful that he was able to make the difference he did in so many lives....including my husband and me and my children. God truly blessed us with this man.

i love mr. rogers, i watch his program when i was kid, and still watches his programs. He is god sent. easily put, he was God manifested in flesh. he is so humble. And the remark he use to make is" i like u just the way u are. that is so beautiful.
