I can't believe so many people here hide behind the reasons of "being a part of a democracy" and "majority vote" to justify oppressing a minority on a national level. Trust me, it's national, everyone is talking about it all over the world.

I agree that people destroying churches is uncalled for, and they make us peaceful protestors look bad. But this is a civil rights issue. Bottom line. Doesnt our constitution say "Liberty and Justice for ALL"? Maybe I missed the fine print that said: All really means rich white straight men. Our constitution is there to protect the rights of Americans. Prop 8 took them away from people. Dont worry fellow fans of civil rights. Its unconstitutional, and the supreme court wont allow it.

What I don't get about Prop 8 is, even though it WAS passed by a majority, why it was even allowed onto the balot in the first place when it breaks Articles 1, 2, 3, 6, 12, 16 (most importantly) and 30 of the International Declaration of Human Rights... tell me I'm not the only one who noticed? :/
